It’s prime time in the high country. If you’re out in the backcountry and have something interesting to report, please post it here!
THE INLAND NORTHWEST BACKCOUNTRY ALLIANCE
Formed in 2010 to build an organized community in the Inland Northwest advocating for traditional, human-powered winter recreation in our region. We as a group and individually are involved with and have commented on forest service management and travel plans.
Our goals are to strengthen the traditional winter recreation community by advocating for specific non-motorized areas with reasonable access for human-powered recreationists and to educate others about the value of and opportunities for human-powered winter recreation.

Skied Boulder Basin on Saturday, March 26th. A surprisingly sunny and nice spring day. We went up the climbers right side of the basin. Snow was really good on the shady north facing slopes. All others had some temperature or sun effect, but still decent skiing. The road in was also in the best shape all year. It was a very quiet day as well. Heard some snowmobile noise around mid day. They were riding across the valley, on the South facing slopes above Mullan. I have never noticed that you can still hear the noise when they are riding in that area.
